This is where I keep the recipes that have earned a permanent place at our table, from the Cajun dishes I grew up with in Louisiana to the slow weekend projects Patrick and I started making once we settled into our own kitchen. Some are quick weeknight fixes, some take all afternoon on purpose, and most of them come with a story attached, because in my experience the story is usually half of why a dish matters.
